In 1980, the late Ron Cassens, jumped head first into the business world. With only his tools, a pickup and years of repair experience Cassens started Ron's Repair. Working out of his garage or his pickup Ron worked on rail car movers and forklifts. Gradually business grew to the point that Ron added a partner and changed the name to R & J Material Handling.

The business outgrew Ron's garage and eventually was relocated to a facility south of Badger, Iowa. This location gave Cassens the opportunity to expand his business. In 1985, Ron became a Bobcat dealer. Kubota, Shuttlewagon and many other brands followed suit soon after.

Also in the late 1980s, Ron's two boys, Dave and James, joined the business. Dave and James continue to own and operate R & J Material Handling from the new location on the northwest corner of Fort Dodge, Iowa, just off highway 169 and highway 7.

R & J Material Handling is currently a proud dealer of Bobcat, Kubota, TCM, Shuttle Wagon, Blue Giant, Sky Jack, and TowMaster Trailers. Also offering an extensive sales, service, rental and parts department allows us to ensure that you have the right tool for the job at hand.
